About The Author
Dr. Rakesh Ranjan is a practicing psychiatrist, a researcher, an author, and an educator. He is the Founder and President/CEO of the Charak Center for Health and Wellness™ and the Charak Clinical Research Center™, both located in North East Ohio. Dr. Ranjan is intimately involved in patient care and teaching. He serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
He has been recognized by the Ohio NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) as a recipient of the Psychiatrist of the Year Award, and by the National NAMI as a recipient of the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award. Dr. Ranjan is a national speaker for several organizations and serves on the medical advisory board for the NAMI of Greater Cleveland.
Dr. Ranjan is the recipient of several research awards. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters mostly on psychopharmacology. He has been involved in clinical research for about three decades.
He has also authored hundreds of articles in a variety of magazines and newspapers on a wide range of topics related to mental health.
